Making customers smile has been the aim of Platform 9 (formerly known as The French Connection) for over 24 years. Now under the management of Alison, Stuart & Neil, they and their staff aim to continue and if possible improve on the past high standards! They continue to serve wonderful food which can be eaten in the Pullman Dining Carriage, the restaurant in the old station house or even have lunch in the garden. Being sited next to the railway station, it is very handy for those arriving by train.

We have a full licence so you can pop in for a drink in the garden or cosy bar. In cold weather you can relax in front of the open fire.

Rooms

We have three luxurious bedrooms available - the Orient Express, the Northern Belle and the Flying Scotsman. A lounge, separate from the restaurant is shared by the three rooms.
All rooms are en suite and centrally heated.

Table D'Hote nightly - £15.95 for 3 courses or £19.95 including a bottle of house wine
Thai set menu - £14.95 for 2 courses or £18.95 for 3 courses.
