The Queens Hotel is currently closed and at the present time (January, 2008) I do not have any information on a likely re-opening date. The information below is provided on the basis of what was, and hopefully will again, be available in the future.

The Queens is a 17th century free house in the middle of the village and an ideal centre for a walking holiday.

The hotel has a cozy country pub atmosphere with oak beams and log fires in winter.

There are two bars specialising in real ales and over one hundred malt whiskies.

We are pleased to say that we have been awarded the Cask Marque* for pubs which serve the perfect pint!

There are no pub games, juke box or gaming machines, with a convivial chat over a pint of beer being the main form of entertainment.

Rooms

All 14 rooms have been recently refurbished and are all en suite with tea/coffee making facilities.

Facilities

A large common lounge is available for our guests.

Meals

All the meals are produced on the premises and can be taken in the cozy dining room or the non-smoking conservatory.
If the weather is fine, meals can be taken in the terraced garden bar.
