This site, and the webmaster, cannot offer any direct help to those seeking information on ancestors, and neither can the Priory priest and his colleagues as all the registers, apart from the current ones, are held by the Records Office. Joining the St Bees Forum however can be useful as there is an active Genealogy section there. A few links which may be of help are listed below. St Bees Registers The old St Bees Parish Registers cover the period from 1538 to 1837 and are available as printed transcripts for baptisms, marriages and burials both at the office below and at St Bees Library. Other useful links - Finally, the 1901 UK Census is available at Census Online Happy hunting!
