Minutes - Guidance notes

The minutes are posted on this web site and the parish notice boards as soon as possible after the meeting they refer to, in the interests of quicker information to the public. This came into force as from the October 2004 meeting, as a result of a decision of the Council. The minutes are therefore marked as draft.

The normal practice is for the minutes to be agreed at the next meeting of the Council. In the case of the minutes being corrected at the next meeting before approval as a true record, is important to note that the wording of the original minutes as posted is NOT changed, but the corrections are included in the minutes of the meeting at which the corrections were agreed.

In the case of the Annual Parish Meeting, it is the policy of the Council to discuss and approve these minutes at the next monthly meeting. This is to enable publishing of the minutes without incurring a year's delay, which would be the case if they were only to be approved at the next Annual Parish Meeting.
