St Bees Man The current displays about St Bees Man will be considerably improved and enhanced. The white display case will be disposed off; the large wooden one housing the shroud will probably be retained. Additional text and photos will be put on custom built display boards. A considerable amount of work has been done on this unique find, but the detail is relatively poorly known. It is planned that the displays to be placed here will tell the story of the preceding digs, the actual find and the subsequent research into who St Bees Man was. These will also include information about St Bees Lady, the skeleton found in the vault next to St Bees Man. Her story is equally fascinating and will be told. |
