St Bees Pre-School is a lively and colourful playgroup with caring and dedicated staff. Established in 1976 by a voluntary committee of parents, the Pre-School has expanded to offer a high quality care and education for the children of St Bees Parish and outlying areas. The qualified and experienced staff aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum of activities. The staff and parental committee aim to promote links with their families and encourage parents to support their playgroup in many ways. The new premises are owned and maintained by the Youth Centre Management Committee which consists of the Trustees of the Pre-School and the Scout Group. The Pre-School meets in the Youth Centre - the green Portakabins - in a pleasant location near the St Bees Village Primary School on Outrigg, and adjacent to the Parish Council play park which is available to us for outdoor play. See Schools - Pre-School Playgroup for more details
