St Bees Parish MagazineIndexSt Bees Parish Magazine is published as a service to the community by the St Bees Priory Church. It is subsidised by donations from individuals, the St Bees Parish Council and income from advertising. It is published 10 times a year - the July/August and December/January issues being "double" issues. Copy for the magazine should be submitted to the current editor (see latest magazine) by the 8th of the month preceding the next issue. If necessary, copy may be submitted to the DTP Editor by the same date. In special circumstances copy can be accepted up to the 20th of the month preceding the next issue provided the DTP Editor has been contacted by the 8th and has agreed. Please note - Access is restricted to registered readers Access will be given to villagers and their relatives, ex-villagers and others with good reason for wishing access. Please say why you wish access in your email to the webmaster. This is necessary because the magazine contains names, email addresses and phone numbers of villagers. I am sorry for any inconvenience but I am sure you will appreciate my reasons for this. Magazines are currently being converted to PDF files in the format normally sent to the printers of the hard copy. This means thathe files are large and may take time ot download. The alternative method would result ia smaller, faster loading file, but one which would not print out well, which would not suit everyone as most people seem to print out a copy. To produce your own hard copy, print odd pages first, reverse paper, print even pages, fold and staple! This means that page numbering is not consecutive when viewed on screen but is correct when printed. My apologies to anyone who finds this inconvenient, but,a s said above, most people seem to print out a copy so it makes sense (and, to be honest, is easier for me) to produce the PDF file in this way. If you do not have Adobe Reader this can be obtained free of charge by clicking on the icon below.
