The War Dead of St Bees

Thanks to the work of Bob Jopling, a local historian, and the records of St Bees School, we have a fairly accurate record of the number of people who died in the Boer War and the two World Wars.

Like most places in the country, St Bees lost many young men and women, some villagers, some former pupils and masters at the St Bees School.

Items such as Memorials and Victoria Crosses are not Publications but are included here (and elsewhere) for completeness.
