Torpedoed Bantry Bay 1917, aged 26

From the Whitehaven News, 17 May 1917 (under "Sandwith News"):

A VICTIM OF THE TORPEDO

"We have also to record the death of Second Engineer Wm Connors, son of James Connors of "White Horse Inn" Sandwith. Mr Connors was Second Engineer of the SS "Pilar de Larrinaga" of the Larrinaga Line. His ship was torpedoed in Bantry Bay on the 4th May inst. He was a very genial young man, and of great promise. In fact, one who would have shone in his profession. He was only 25 years of age."
