A video of the autopsy on the St Bees man is available to view at The Beacon in Whitehaven. If this kind of thing does not upset you, you will find it fascinating. It is hard to believe that this is an autopsy of a body which is reputed to be over 500yrs old. The blood in his lungs which apparently caused his death is clearly visible, the organs are remarkable given how old they are, overall it is totally amazing. The video is not professionally done, and the picture and sound quality leave a lot to be desired. However if the exhibition in the Priory has raised your curiosity then viewing this video will complete the experience. It is available to view free of charge, they do like to you to phone and book to view it.
