St Bees Shops

Like many villages these days, St Bees has gradually lost its shop. When I moved here 35 years ago, there were 3 grocers, a greengrocer, a gift shop, a clothes shop, the Tuck Shop, a beach cafe and a Post Office, as well as 4 garden nurseries/garden centres. Now we have Harleys Cafe, Country Conserves (possibly soon to close) and the Post Office.

The index on the left is what we still have, with hte two Garden Centres being outside the village.
