This walk traverses a large part of the St Bees Valley towards Mirehouse. It takes about 2 to 2/12 hours depending on which routes are taken and covers some 3.5 to 4 miles. It goes along Wood Lane to Stanley Pond where it turns West to Bell House Farm where is follows part of the Coast to Coast walk. After crossing the main St Bees-Whitehaven road it crosses to Sandwith and returns to St Bees via Byersteads Road.

Some of the paths can be muddy in wet weather so suitable footwear is advisable.
