Priory Stained Glass

The Priory Stained Glass Windows

The stained glass windows in the Priory are attributed to William Wailes of Newcastle and date from Victorian times.

Windows on the south side depict scenes from the New Testament; those on the north, the Old Testament.

Many of the windows were in need of urgent repair and this work was carried out by Iona Glass of Warkworth. Chris Chesney and his wife did a marvellous job of this delicate task. I am grateful to Chris for his permission to use his photographs here.
